BG ACS also operates a clothing closet that includes some linens and household items for low-income families living in Clark County.

We welcome donations on Mondays from 9am to 5:30pm, and on Thursdays from 8:30am to 2:30pm, as well as noon on Saturday.  We do not have space for large furniture items, but arrangements can be made to sell furniture at Divine Consign at 695-6448.  Proceeds may be directed to BG ACS (Complete instructions can be found at www.divineconsignfurniture.org or call 695-6448).  Food, especially fresh produce, is also welcomed.  We are not able to utilize home canned or preserved food however.

Open on Mondays from 1:00 to 5:30pm and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30am and 1:00 to 2:30pm, BG ACS is located in the daylight basement of Center Point building at 11117 NE 189th Street in Battle Ground.  Please phone 360-687-3459 for information about our organization.

BG ACS hosts the dental van from The Free Clinic of SW Washington six times a year.

Harvest Share is a program run by Oregon Food Bank for low income people at no cost through a farmers'-market style distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables.  BG ACS works with North County Community Food Bank to administer a Harvest Share site at Kiwanis Park in Battle Ground on the first Monday of the month.

On August 22, 2009 the first North County School Readiness Day was held at Battle Ground High School.  Nine hundred forty four students recieved basic school supplies and over 70 received immunizations.  Families had the opportunity to learn about other organizations who were also present that day.  Community partners including BG ACS, North County Community Food Bank, the Battle Ground School District, Clark County Fire and Rescue, 211info, Battle Ground Elks, SeaMar Medical Clinic, and others are working to make this event happen.  We anticipate that next year we will need supplies for 2,500 students.

BG ACS is a volunteer driven organization.  New volunteers are welcomed; our youngest has been about 4 years old; the oldest 97.  Some people prefer to work each day we're open; others for a few hours a week.  Still others fill in when regular volunteers are not available or for special projects like sorting food after a food drive.  Please call 360-687-3459 with questions you may have.

Closure Dates:  BG ACS doesn't have a history of closing because of weather.  We do, however close when major hoidays fall on a Monday or Thursday.  Closure dates for 2010 include May 31, July 15, September 6, November 25, and from December 24 to January 2, 2011.
