Center Point was established in 2003 as a resource to the community of Battle Ground and North Clark County. Its Vision is to make a positive difference in the life of our community. Its Mission is to mobilize people and resources to improve lives. Center Point is designed to meet the educational, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social needs of children to adults in Clark County. Its Methods focus on programs that initiate education, prevention, social interaction, and partnerships that promote healing and wholeness.
Community Services -
Center Point has several committees where volunteers plan and implement classes, workshops, and community efforts such as Adventist Community Services and a free medical clinic.
Battle Ground Adventist Community Services provides an important outreach as a food bank and clothing closet serving North Clark County. It also hosts a dental van six times a year and is part of a consortium with the North County School Readiness Day. It's open for food and clothing donations Mondays 9 am-5:30 pm and Thursdays 8:30 am-3:00 pm. For those wishing assistance, hours are Mondays 1:00-5:30 pm and Thursdays 9:30-11:30 am and 1:00-2:30 pm. Numerous volunteers from our church and the community help to make this mission possible.
Battle Ground HealthCARE is in the planning stages to provide free medical care to low income individuals. The Planning Committee consists of several subcommittees addressing medical, business, facilities, fundraising, faith and social work. The clinic is organizing volunteers not only from the Meadow Glade Seventh-day Adventist Church, but from other SDA churches, community churches, local businesses and individuals.
Workshops and Classes cover many topics. They can help a person learn a new skill, develop a new direction in life, fulfill a spiritual need and many other areas. Examples of recent classes include "Green Thumbs and other Gardening Myths" and a "Basic Automotive Maintenance Class for Women."
Office Space and Conference/Banquet Rooms -
Center Point has approximately 5,700 square feet of office space to lease to community-oriented businesses, non-profit and for-profit. The space can be modified into suites, each with its own reception area, or into individual units for a one- or two-person business owner.
Center Point's newly remodeled conference rooms and banquet room offer a great environment for your next special function. The banquet room currently provides table seating for 70 with theater seating for approximately 140. We also have two conference rooms; one with a complete kitchen and seating for 50, and another seating 20 with a kitchenette. Center Point is an excellent location for your reception, party, family reunion, conference or meeting.
