Pathfinders - 2 Boys Greetings Unit 2 boys and parents!
I hope that you all had a safe and wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Unit 2 boys attended a very special 'dinner with the firefighters' on Monday, May 18th from 7 -8:30 p.m. at the Dollars Corner Fire Station located on 72nd Avenue near 219th Street. The event included a dinner and a tour of the only Clark County firehouse with a fireman's pole. Chet & I are preparing for the Pathfinder Serve-A-Thon this coming Sunday morning from 9 a.m. – 12 noon. We have been asked to work at Jean Duncan’s home located at 11 SW 10th Street in Battle Ground (see map at: http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Battle+Ground&state=WA&address=11+Sw+10th+Street+&zipcode=98604 ). You can either meet at Jean’s home by 9 or a group will also meet at the Church about 8:40 a.m. with the intent to leave there NLT 8:45. We are going to be spreading bark dust, tearing down and disposing of an old fence and, hopefully, replacing it. Please bring gloves, hats, sunscreen, water, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows and a lunch if you want one. Please look in your PF notebook and remember that you should be getting sponsors to pledge money for your work at the Serve-A-Thon. This will be our final effort to reach our Oshkosh fund-raising goal. Also, please print out and complete the attached file permission slip and bring that with you Sunday morning.
The Wild Waves event has been postponed and will no longer occur on Tuesday, June 9th as previously advertised, but rather will be on Thursday June 11th. Also, please remember that Monday evening will be our final PF meeting of the year; you will need to turn in your PF uniform so please bring it!
Best regards, Steve
