WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR MINISTRY
*  A letter from our church Finance Committee:  "Dear members, we are in the home stretch of the giving season, with two Sabbaths remaining in the year 2025.  We would like to share an update on our Church Budget giving and the remaining needs for this year.  The total 2025 Church Budget goal is $640,000.  As of December 15, we have received $500,561 toward the Church Budget, including $62,206.20 contributed so far in December.  This leaves a remaining balance of $139,439 to be raised by year-end.  While this is a substantial amount, with God’s blessing and the generosity of our church family, it is achievable. Consider the impact if we all participate:  10 giving members → $13,944 per member; 50 giving members → $2,789 per member; 200 giving members → $697 per member.  It is thrilling to witness God’s blessings upon the saints in Meadow Glade, who are faithfully giving forward the blessings they have received to make ministry happen.  We prayerfully invite you to consider joining the giving team for the first time, or making an additional gift to help fund ministry at Meadow Glade SDA Church.  Please remember that Tithe does NOT support local church ministries.  To support our local ministries, gifts must be designated ‘Local Church Budget’ on the envelope or in Adventist Giving.  Thank you for your faithfulness, generosity, and continued partnership in ministry."
*  Angel McCoy would like to extend a huge thank you for participating in our Family Promise Giving Tree to help make this Christmas special for our Family Promise Families!  You are so appreciated!
*  We would like to call special attention to our Worthy Student fund for the 2025/2026 school year.  We have voted as a church board to raise $75,000 for children from our church families who need help to pay for tuition for both Columbia Adventist Academy (CAA) and Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School (MGAES).  This is an extra $40,000 more than we have been accustomed to raising in previous years.  It equates to approximately $1,000 per week for the school year.  Could you partner with us to help these wonderful kids get a great Adventist education this year?  $25, $50, or $100 per month in regular giving each month can do wonders to help!  Thank you for prayerfully considering and possibly acting on this appeal for help.
*  June 17, 2024, we held a Business Meeting and unanimously voted as a church family to proceed with the fundraising necessary to renovate our Center Point building.  A project of up to $2 million was approved with the stipulation we have 90% board donor support and $1.5 million in-hand (including pledges) before work commences.  What work will be done with this renovation project?  The banquet hall will be refreshed with new countertops and carpeting (and more); the hallways will be uniformly carpeted throughout the majority of the building; a new, large Youth Room created by an expansion and retooling of the existing kitchenette and office (across from Quest Sabbath School); our industrial kitchen will be retooled and fully functional again; the hallway closest to the church will be renovated to match the nicer side of the building including new doorways, ceiling and sheetrock throughout; 4 new adult Sabbath School classrooms created in the vacant storage rooms located on that hall; and new, much higher capacity restrooms created on that hallway for men and women.  We have $214,080.35 in pledges and collected funds so far.  If you would like to give toward this project, please give to our church "Center Point Building Fund."  We are so grateful for everyone who has been involved in the work over the past few years that has led us to this exciting point!  May God bless us and continue to move in our hearts collectively to move expediently on this project as we have done so many times in our history.
*  Ministry positions to prayerfully consider:  Praise Team Leaders, Assistant Kitchen Manager, Worship Program Coordinators, Deacons (male and female), Greeters, Pathfinder helpers and Sabbath School teachers/assistants.  Please contact the church office, Cara Farrell or one of the pastors for more information.
*  We are raising approximately $3,000 for equipment to bring occasional hot drinks and treats to the church foyer on Sabbath mornings.  If you would like to contribute, please designate funds for "Hot Drinks."
*  We are raising funds for a new LED video display in the church foyer.  The total project cost is $10,000.  We have 37% of the funds raised so far.  The new video board will relay welcome and goodbye messages, display our church logo, vision statement and core values, and show the church livestream during the worship time.  Our schools will be able to use this also for graduation and other events hosted here annually to display their logos and welcome messages.
*  Church Flowers - If you would like to sponsor flowers at the pulpit please click here for the link to go to our new sign up genius page.  You can still sign up by calling the church office.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH OUR NEIGHBORS
*  Columbia Adventist Academy is having a POP Christmas concert tomorrow, December 19, at 10:30 am during the regularly scheduled chapel time.  All are invited to come!
*  A message from Heidi Kruger, principal of Journey Christian School in Kelso, WA:  "Journey Christian School is in need of a long-term substitute teacher for Jan-Apr, 2026.  We are looking for someone who loves kids in grades 5 & 6, with a teaching degree, and who loves Jesus. Please contact the school at 360-423-9250 or email resume to principal@jcsedu.com."
*  A message from Maggie Sullivan, Shelter Program Manager for Family Promise of Clark County:  "Hello folks, I wanted to reach out to y'all today regarding a new FPCC family who just entered into the rotational shelter program last week on Wednesday, December 10th.  This family is super young. Mom & Dad are quite young and their baby boy is just 7-weeks-old. This Friday, December 19th is Mom's birthday!  They'll be in a hotel next week (Sunday, December 21st - Sunday, December 28th) as we do not have a Church signed up to host next week.  This family hopes to find a changing table for their son.  I'm wondering if any of y'all's congregations know of anybody who might have a spare changing table that they'd be willing to donate to this couple?  Their son would certainly benefit greatly from a changing table! Since they currently do not have one, Mom & Dad have been changing the baby on a couch, table, or whatever else is nearby.  Additionally, with the family being in a hotel next week, I'm wondering if anyone might be willing to donate gift cards for the family (to stores such as Safeway, Fred Meyer, Walmart, etc.).  Gift cards to local stores would help to supplement groceries for them during Christmas week.  Since they'll be in a hotel, they'll only have access to a microwave & mini fridge.  Please reach out to me if y'all know of anyone who might be willing to donate a changing table and/or grocery store gift cards for this family during this holiday season!  I'm able to come pick up any items if that would be easier versus delivering to the FPCC Day Center, just let me know!  If y'all could pass this message along to your congregations and volunteer networks, I'd be eternally grateful.  Thank you all so much!  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays."  🙂

*  Sunnyside SDA Church invites you to their "Holiday Evensong Concert" December 20 at 4 pm.
*  From Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School Principal Ric Peinado:  "Dear Meadow Glade School Family & Friends, this week people around the world celebrated Giving Tuesday - a global day dedicated to generosity, compassion, and caring for one another.  At Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary, this spirit of giving has always been at the heart of who we are as a school community.  Each year, our families unite for 12 Days of Giving to support our neediest families during the holiday season.  Your kindness brings comfort, hope, and joy to those who need it most - and we are deeply grateful.  This year, we are also excited to introduce something new:  Our Christmas Giving Tree.  While our 12 Days of Giving blesses families in need, the Giving Tree is an opportunity to support every MGAES student and every classroom.  Your gifts will help enhance library and PE resources, teacher materials, technology, and this year’s special campus-wide project - upgrading classroom speaker systems to improve communication, instruction, and learning for all.  We invite you to read the attached letter to learn more about how you can participate, and how your gift - of any size - can make a meaningful difference.  Your generosity during this season of giving, from now through December 31, 2025, helps ensure that Meadow Glade remains a place where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.  Thank you for being a blessing to our school and for joining us in the joy of giving.  With gratitude, Mr. Peinado, MGAES Faculty, MGAES Board."
*  Columbia Adventist Academy has an exciting opportunity to host an exchange student for 3 months next year.  There are three boys coming from Japan.  They will arrive January 24 and will be attending CAA until April 15.  There is a $950 monthly stipend for room, board and transportation to and from CAA.  If you have an interest or would like more information, please contact Sonny Hammann at sonny.hamman@caaschool.org or call the school office at 360-687-3161.
*  Battle Ground HealthCare is a ministry started by the Meadow Glade SDA Church and still supported by our members.  Battle Ground HealthCare is dedicated to improving the health and well being of our community through providing access to quality, no-cost care services.  Check out their website by clicking here to see how they might support your health journey and also discover ways to partner with them and volunteer to help this important ministry!
